We built Student Notebook to respect your privacy. Here is what that means in everyday language.
What stays on your phone
Your courses, notes, assignments, and flashcards are stored on your device so the app works offline.
You can use most of the app without creating an account.
When you choose to back up
If you sign in and use Premium backup and sync, a secure copy of your notebook is linked to your account so you can restore it or continue on another device.
Only you can access your backed-up data through your signed-in account.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not show ads based on your notebook content.
We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.
Permissions we may ask for
Notifications: to remind you about assignment due dates, if you turn reminders on.
Microphone: only when you use voice input to write notes.
These permissions are used only for the features you choose to use.
Purchases and support
Premium purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive purchase status so we can unlock Premium features, not your payment card details.
If you delete the app, local data on that device is removed unless you have backed up your notebook to your account.
Deleting data on your device
You can delete individual courses, notes, assignments, and flashcards inside the app.
Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage on Android removes all local notebook data on that device.

Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account & backup → Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in and cloud backup data.
Notes saved only on your device stay on that phone until you uninstall the app or clear app storage. Active Premium subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Google Play.
